The Hawaii Content and Performance Standards III (HCPS III) serves as the foundation for a comprehensive learning experience in Hawaii's public schools. This document outlines the essential content and skills students should develop across various subject areas, including Career and Technical Education, Fine Arts, Health, Physical Education, Science (aligned with Next Generation Science Standards - NGSS), Social Studies, and World Languages.

Next Generation Science Standards 

The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) represent a nationwide effort to revamp K-12 science education. These state-developed standards set clear expectations for what students should know and be able to do in science. Grounded in the latest research, the NGSS empower local educators to design engaging learning experiences that spark students' curiosity and prepare them to be successful in college, careers, and as informed citizens.
